Recently my husband and I took a child-free weekend trip to Seattle. Seattle was only a 4 1/2 hour drive from Eugene. I cant believe we have never done it before! We wanted to have a weekend away together before Baby #2 comes into the world. So Babymoon in Seattle was our choice!
First off with your babymoon, you need alone time with your significant other. Find a baby sitter! We asked my mother-in-law to come watch our son. She drove ten hours from our hometown to come watch him! He was having so much fun with her, he barely missed us.
Day # 1
The first day in Seattle we checked into our room at the Belltown Inn. I have to be honest, The outside made me a little nervous, but the inside was really nice and super clean! Plus we had a rooftop patio to hang out on. Also it was a prime location to walk all over downtown and the Space Needle area.
After getting checked in we rented the complimentary bikes at the hotel and rode down to the park that the Space Needle was based in. The park was called Seattle Center . There were so many restaurants and museums in the area and open areas with people playing live music and food vendors.
After the park we met up with The other half of For The Love of Blank, Brittany and her other half. We ate Lunch and had drinks (besides me ha), before finding Instagram Worthy Walls.
We finished this day with dinner on the water front with family at Anthony’s Pier 66. It was delicious! I highly recommend the crab cakes! Then we reconnected with Brittany and Tyrell for a few games of pool and drinks.
Day #2
We used the first day to meet up with friends and family, then the second to have some alone time as a couple. It was the perfect mix! Day 2 started off with a Trip to the Starbucks Reserve Roastery.
If you are a Starbucks fan, or coffee connoisseur you have got to check this place out! Brittany ordered a affogato, a scoop of ice-cream with an espresso shot on top. I ordered a pastry and coffee. Everything was delicious and the atmosphere was amazing! Not to mention they also have a fully stocked bar with a happy hour!
Next it was off to Pike’s Market. We found some great handmade items! My favorite purchase was a hand blown glass straw from a husband a wife ran company. Check them out here. I’ve been wanting one forever! and this one came with a lifetime warranty plus had cute designs. Did you know its the oldest market in the US that is still going strong?! So cool I love history!
Since I love history on every vacation I like to check out a museum or something similar. On this trip we took the Seattle Underground tour. I highly recommend! The tour was a little over an hour and we walked through 4 underground tunnels while getting the history of where we were and what happened there. They also do a 21+ tour that features ghost stories!!
After the walking Underground tour. We had an amazing dinner at Von’s 1000 Spirits. They had homemade sourdough pizza and pastas. Guyysss, I can’t even begin to explain how happy my pregnant self was to eat the creamiest, richest mac and cheese ever. The pizza was topped with gourmet toppings and even though I’m not a huge bone-in wing fan, those wings are the best I’ve ever had! If your a foodie like me, you’ll love this place!
To finish off the trip we took an Uber to Kerry Park. This park had breath taking views of the city skyline and we got a great nighttime Seattle City skyline photo.
Seattle was a great place for us to have a Babymoon. We had the perfect mix of friends, family, and alone time. However, tell me I’m not alone here, but we missed our son like crazy! We haven’t been away from him over night in three years! I swear everything we saw was a kid activity and we both on multiple occasions said “Noah would love that!” Now we have to take a second trip with him to go check out those spots!
Where did you baby moon? Let me know in the comments below!
Seattle is on our travel bucket list! I really wish we would’ve taken a babymoon before our little babe arrived.

How fun! So many great things to see (and eat and drink!) in Seattle! I’ve always wanted to go on the Underground tour!
Sounds like a fun time! I love Seattle so much! What a perfect baby moon destination. We never did a baby moon, but we were able to escape together as a family to Europe when she was six months old. That was quite an adventure! 🤣
