For my high school years I remember going to my mom’s friend’s house for Easter. We had a huge Easter brunch with many friends and family members. Out of all the food I remember eating monkey bread and the adults having spiked smoothies very similar to an original Orange Julius only with vodka, or without for the kiddos. These Easter recipes are a must have
While looking for a monkey bread recipe that would be perfect to start my family on the same tradition i grew up on, I stumbled upon cinnamon roll monkey bread! OMG so yummy! I love cinnamon rolls and the smell of my house when they are baking is even better! If anyone has a homemade cinnamon roll recipe, please leave it in the comments below!
The spiked smoothie recipe is incredibly simple. I made it a few years ago for family but never kept it up as tradition. Now that my little family is growing I want to start creating traditions that we will uphold through the years! I’m hoping these Easter recipes stick!
If you read my last post about my Babymoon in Seattle you might remember my favorite purchase made at Pike’s Market the reusable glass straw from The husband and wife ran company Drinking Straws.Glass. The straw was perfect to use with my smoothie! Something about the glass makes the drink so much better! I have been wanting a reusable straw for a long time and was so happy to find them at the market! the straws come with their own cleaner and we purchased the carrying case made from organic cotton! For Earth month we are teaming up with them for a GIVEAWAY! Watch out on our Instagram this week for details!
Let me know your family’s Easter traditions in the comments below!
Cinnamon Roll Monkey Bread
Ingredients
- 2 Cans of your favorite cinnamon rolls with icing ( I used Pillsbury with the Original icing)
- 1 stick of butter melted
- 1/2 c Brown sugar
- 1/4 c White sugar
- 2 tsp Cinnamon
Directions
Cut the cinnamon rolls into quarters and place in a large ziplock bag. Mix the melted butter, sugars, and cinnamon together then drizzle into bag, Shake the bag until coated evenly. Empty contents evenly into a lightly greased bunt pan. Bake at 350° for 28-33 minutes until golden brown on top and no longer doughy in the center. Cool for ten minutes in pan then flip onto a plate. Drizzle with icing and Enjoy!
Spiked Orange Julius

The monkey bread looks delicious. What a yummy way to start Easter morning. I agree that things taste better with a glass straw. We have a couple of them and it really makes a difference!
