Can we all agree that none of us knew what 2020 would bring? If only this year had gone as any other normal year I think we would all be in different places. However, this year brought some good times and some bad times. Here is a short update of where Brittany and I are currently and some blog posts you can expect to see!
Brittany’s Life Update
Well, here we are at the end of a crazy year! As most of you who have been following along know, I got married this year! What?! A wedding in 2020?! YES!!! I can’t believe it either. It wasn’t at all what we had planned but it got the job done!
So many great things have happened this year. I have got to spend so much time with my family and friends and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. After getting married my husband and I have been road tripping in the ultimate social distancing vacation. How much more secluded does it get than camping in the woods for 5 months?!
Oh and another great thing that happened is finally chopping off my hair! Talk about FREEING! Other changes are I’ve added a new tattoo to my arm and we were able to do some home renovations at my grandma’s house! Overall, I can’t complain too much about our year.
That being said, nothing has actually gone as planned. My wedding went from a guest list of 400 down to 50. Our honeymoon was supposed to be backpacking Europe. And I definitely should not be living back in Utah.
I think we can all relate to having to change plans this year! One major change that will be coming up soon is a move to Florida! That’s right, we are packing up the snowboard and trading it in for jet skis. More on this to come at the beginning of 2021!
You will be seeing a lot of posts about our travels coming up in the next few months. But also I have some catching up to do on recipes I mastered during quarantine!
Tell me about plans of yours that had to change in 2020! I think we can all relate to this and I’d love to know how you managed to make the best out of it.
Jordyn’s Life Update
Hi everyone!
For those of you who don’t know me I’m Jordyn. 1/2 of For the Love of Blank. I live in the PNW in Eugene, Oregon but am Originally from Twin Falls, Idaho just like Brittany. Read my original Introduction post by clicking here.
For my life currently, 2020 and been a crazy year!
Most of our travel dreams for the year were put on hold because of the pandemic. Noah missed out on his last term of preschool, summer soccer and a normal start of Kindergarden. But…… WE BOUGHT A HOUSE! After two years of looking for a house (the market is awful here in Oregon) we found our first house! Thanks for Covid, interest rates were super low and we found the perfect place. Be ready for so many before and after shots of our remodels and decorating! Also I can’t wait to share my expiernce with you guys of the whole process. Its coming soon!
Noah turned 5 and Silas is now 1 and a wild little toddler. Noah started Kindgergarden as a distance learner and has Zoom school 5 days a week which he is actually loving now! He is going to a japanese immersion school! The idea is he will be fluent in both english and japanese by the time he graduates high school. And I have started the nursing program at the local community college also online! It is going to be a busy school year with both of us in school. We lierally have Zoom class at the same time most days of the week. wish us luck!
What is Next for us? We will be busy working on the house over the winter and busy with school. Im so excited to host holidays for family members in our home. But first for Halloween we got an AirBNB in Sunriver with my family! I can’t wait to get all the cousins together. Not to mention how nice it will be to get out of town for a little bit.
Seems like you’re doing great! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Thank you!
