Cinco de Mayo is this weekend already! If I wasn’t pregnant I would make sure to be enjoying a refreshing Margarita in the sun with some street tacos! My favorite! And of course some chips and this delicious Hot Salsa Recipe.
Mexican food has always been my favorite. I love spicy, cheesey, and of course beans and rice! One of the best parts about marrying into my husband’s Hispanic family was THE FOOD!
My father in law makes the best hot salsa! I’m pretty picky about my salsa. I will barely eat any store bought kind and hate when their are chunks of tomato in the salsa. This Hot Salsa recipe is blended so perfect for me and easy to add to any recipe or for dippin’.
Ingredients
- 1 large can of tomatoes
- 1 bunch of fresh cilantro
- 1/2 a small red onion
- 1/2 a small white onion
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 3 -4 whole jalapeños
- Sea salt and fresh squeezed lime to taste
Directions
Chop the onions into chunks and then add all ingredients into a blender. Once all mixed up add fresh squeezed limes and sea salt to taste. Enjoy!

I’ve been wanting to make my own hot salsa for a while. I love that you’re using jalapenos as I can see my family liking this more than killer hot chilli peppers. Mexican food is also something we eat a lot of in our house so this would be really appreciated and cut down on our salsa that we purchase. Thanks for the great recipe 🙂
