If you have ever been to Disneyland, you KNOW you are going to spend some money. However, you should never spend more than you have to! There are always little ways to save and a $5 discount is $5 in your pocket! So I am not here to save you thousands of dollars, but here are a few tips to put a few dollars back in your pocket when going to Disneyland!
Undercovere Tourist
This is the site which I bought our tickets from. Depending on the tickets you get you can save different amounts. We got the 3-day park hopper with max pass and we saved $15 per ticket! Since there were 4 of us that went that is $60 we saved!
This might not seem like much since we still spent a TON on tickets but seriously guys, every little bit helps! And don’t worry, I did a ton of research before hand. This site is a legit licensed dealer of Disney tickets so no need to worry about getting scammed!
Target Red Card
If you are one of the infinite number of people that I know who love Target, you might have a Target card! If you do you know you get 5% off of every purchase. The cool thing is that this applies to gift cards as well! And Target sells Disney gift cards! Purchase gift cards with the 5% discount to buy tickets with and even take them to the park!
This is a super easy way to basically ensure 5% off on every purchase at Disneyland! Most Main Street shops and even a few food vendors accept the gift cards! So make sure to stock up and plan how much you will spend. If you can get a discount, why wouldn’t you?!
Travel Agency
Okay, I never used a travel agent until like a year ago. Now, I use them all the time! Especially when planning family trips that go beyond just Tyrell and I. It is so much easier to coordinate for multiple people with the help of a third party!
That being said, travel agents can get you awesome deals on Disney packages! We spoke with a few of them but ultimately ended up booking this trip on our own because there were too many last minute changes and details that we wouldn’t know until we got there. But if you have time and can plan early, use the dang travel agent!
Thanks for sharing these tips! We’re hoping to go in the next 6 months and I’ve never been!
Every little saving adds up and since a trip to Disney could cost quite a lot, it’s a welcome saving! Thanks for these awesome tips!
These are good tips! We want to take our girls to Disney one day, but haven’t yet because it’s sooo pricy. We also wanted to make sure they were old enough to appreciate/remember it. I went when I was 6 and I have like two memories that stuck from that trip ha ha

Ooooh, I am LOVING this tip about using a target red card. I’m definitely going to apply that for disney and other travels, since I’m pretty sure they sell hotel/airline gift cards too.

Yes, absolutely!! I was so thrilled!
A penny saved is a penny earned! Never went to Disney World before. But if we ever did go, I definitely would look into some of these discounts. The tickets are getting pretty pricey nowadays!
Absolutely! Any savings is great 🙂

Yes! We went as a family of 4 and these tips helped so much!
I’ve always had the preconceived idea that travel agents would cost you more money. My mistake! I am looking forward to all the discounts my big family can grab on to before heading to Disneyland.
it’s been 3 years since i moved to SoCal from WA and my husband still hasn’t taken me to disneyland! its one of those things some locals have no interest in i guess…but i still want to experience it! i should show him this post to get some deals!
