Whether you are vegeterian, vegan or gluten-free, there is something on the menu for you! Right in front of the Amtrak station in downtown Eugene, OR. Open 7 days a week from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm Morning Glory Cafe is a vegetarian’s haven! The menu is completely meatless! They also have vegan options and gluten-free bread!
Morning Glory- A Vegetarian Cafe
I went for breakfast and I can’t wait to go back to try their lunch menu! They also have a little pastry display up front that looked amazing! I will update this post when I go back and try more!
When you get in they have a self serve water bar with games for the kiddos. Also at this table is milk and sweeteners for the organic, locally roasted coffee. They even have soy milk for the lactose- intolerant. They seriously can please everyone!
I ordered the “Pesto Omelet.” The pesto was mixed into the egg, then the omelet was filled with soy sausage, mushrooms and cheddar. I LOVED it! This was even my first time trying a meat substitute. It came with their “glory potatoes,” which were savory, herbed, fried potatoes which I dipped into the most delicious tantric mushroom gravy! You also get a choice of bread! Gluten- free bread, banana bread, cinnamon raisin walnut bread (I had it and it was to die for!!), homemade biscuits, or whole wheat bread.
Always check the monthly organic specials, and the daily omelet! Other delicious breakfast entres are the three fingered jack and the vegan french toast! It is made on the cinnamon raisin walnut bread and is topped with a berry sauce! I order my son the kids non- vegan french toast made on challa bread. He loved it and so did it! The french toast was so fluffy and rich topped with a sweet strawberry sauce. Oh Yummy!
I can wait to go back and try their lunch menu! Like I said earlier in the post I will update when I go back and try more! Until then I highly recommend trying this spot out if you are ever in the area or have a layover at the Amtrak station!
Enjoy!♥
Umm, this all looks amazing. That french toast (?) in your first picture looks so good. I need to find a similar place to this somewhere here in Philly!

It is such a cool town! And filled with great food!!!
Trying’ out new vegan restaurants is fun. Now, all I need is someone who won’t think vegan food is “nasty” to come with me lol.
Seriously! I had to wait for my mother in law to come visit to go try it! lol There is a vegan comfort food place in town as well I want to try!
