Off The Waffle in Eugene, Oregon is a place exactly like the name. Everything is served off of a waffle, not just any waffle!!! A Liège waffle! These waffles are sweet, rich, flaky, caramelized waffles that are to die for!! Don’t worry, you can buy a six-pack of frozen ones to take home!
There are two locations in Eugene for Off the Waffle, and one in Portland, OR. We went to the location in South Eugene both times and loved the food! I wouldn’t recommend coming while in a hurry, it’s a little slower since it is smaller . Don’t worry, it’s more than worth the wait!
What we ordered..
The last time we went I ordered “The Hey Bob.” It is topped with apples, havarti cheese, cinnamon, and maple syrup. Let me tell you, it was amazing. I ordered it with a side of bacon.
My husband ordered the biggest waffle on the menu, ” The Swanson.” It had four eggs, four strips of bacon, and maple syrup!!! IT WAS HUGE!! We also brought our son. He loved “The Wiffle.” It was a nutella and banana topped waffle, but in the right season it has strawberries. With that being said it is kid friendly, but the high chairs are hidden in the back, all you need to do is ask!
If a sweet waffle topped with savory isn’t your thing, you can order their “OM-LET.” It is served with a waffle on the side. If I still haven’t sold you on this place, all the produce is organic! Even their eggs, plus they also have nitrate-free bacon. One last thing, they have games and coloring pages for the kiddos by the door. What more could you need?
Off the Waffle is a great place for a family brunch or breakfast! I highly recommend trying this unique, kid-friendly restaurant. Let me know if you have tried Off the Waffle or have another Eugene, OR restaurant recommendation for me in the comments below! Also while you’re in Eugene check out Poppi’s Anatolia for dinner. The best Greek food in town!
