Strap Tank Brewery: A restaurant review

Trying new restaurants is probably one of my top 10 favorite things to do. Sometimes I am so pleased to find a new favorite, and other times I learn a place to never return! We all know it’s the truth! Luckily, we found a new favorite brewery in Lehi, UT!

This Christmas my aunt had given us some gift cards to Strap Tank Brewery. It took us a couple of months but in early March we decided to give it a try! We were so impressed! This is totally the type of restaurant that we love to frequent. It is definitely going on our go-to list of restaurants everyone can agree on!

The Atmosphere

First of all, just walking in to this place you know you’re going to have a good time! The decor is so fun and classic! Even the bathrooms have this awesome Americana, classic car, 50s vibe. It is modern yet rustic and perfect for all ages!

They have a ton of space and can do meetings and events in their upstairs area. I would absolutely do a party or work event here! It has the fun atmosphere of a brewery but totally classy enough for businesses. You will definitely enjoy your time spent in this restaurant!

The Food

Okay, just because I love the decor doesn’t mean I’ll return. The reason I will keep going back is because of the food! We all ordered different things to try so total we got 3 meals and one appetizer. Pub/brewery food is always a crowd pleaser in my family and this was no exception.

Our appetizer was the nachos and they were seriously AMAZING! They had this queso sauce on them that I could drink a gallon of! I would absolutely order these every single time.

As our meals we got the Prime Rib Dip with onion rings, Southwest Burger with fries, and the fried shrimp with vegetable beef soup! It was all so good! The burger and sandwich were definitely our favorite. The fries and onion rings were perfect for bar food, beer battered rings and thicker fries that weren’t wedges.

The shrimp and soup were probably our least favorite so we’d try something different next time, but definitely still good! We really want to give the pizza a shot next time as I think that is something we’d enjoy more!

The Drinks

Since this is a brewery, I had to include a section about the beer! Because of state laws they can’t technically serve a flight but in order to try a few different beers we just kept ordering the samples which I think are like around $1.00 or less.

There was not a single beer we tried that we didn’t like! But my goodness, some of them we LOVED. The Autumn Haze: Hazy Pale Ale was definitely a favorite of ours. And the Lehi Light is such a good light beer! We even tried a few dark beers that we ended up enjoying and we are not dark beer people.

Is It Worth It?

For us to get to Lehi from Murray it is definitely a bit of a drive. That being said, when we have the time we will ABSOLUTELY be going back to Strap Tank Brewery!

This is the type of place that we could hang out with friends and family and have a fun evening! It has something that all of us can enjoy and that is so hard to find with such a big family. They also have a brunch buffet with mimosas that we want to try next time!
