The Georgia Sea Turtle Center is an interactive center for guests to see the sea turtles. What makes this place stand out is that it’s actually a hospital and rehabilitation center for sea turtles. The organization aims to educate the general public about sea turtles and encourage people to be more environmentally conscious. Watch injured sea turtles get treated by professionals while learning about their ecosystem and how to keep our turtles safe.
Ride Bikes on the Trails
Jekyll Island is a great place to ride bikes safely with stunning views for your whole family. The island has around 25 miles of paved bike trails. Head to the bike barn or the welcome center to pick up a bike map, and then map your route. You’ll see the beaches, camping areas, and the Historic Landmark District. If you don’t have your own bikes, you can rent them for either a day or the entire week of your vacation to get some exercise and see the scenery on the island.
Miniature Golfing
Miniature golf is a favorite pastime for many vacationers on the island. Pick one of the well-lit 18-hole courses to have a blast with your entire family. The center aims at educating guests about the Georgia ecosystems in a fun and interactive experience for the whole family.

I love all of the learning that can take place on vacation. I’m so intrigued by the sea turtle center. It sounds like a great place because they are educating people about how to protect turtles, we can see the turtles firsthand, and they are helping them to get better too!
Seems like a beautiful place to visit! I haven’t been to too many beaches on the east coast. I’ll definitely have to plan a trip!
I LOVE Jekyll island! My daughters and I found an octopus that had washed up on shore. It was wild!!!
