How have I lived in Oregon for three years and never been to the Wooden Shoe Tulip festival?! This place was spectacular. The fields were drenched in color from all the different tulips, and there was food, booths and rides for everyone! There is also a Winery there, but I’ll have to wait for next year to try that part out 😉 The festival runs from end of March all the way through April, so if you didn’t make it this year mark your calendars for next!
The Food
Tucked away in the Town of Woodburn, Oregon there is the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm and Winery. Entry is $5 a person or a car for $20, with 12 and under free. (2019 prices check the website for updated prices) This whole festival is based off the European Tulip festival in Denmark, Netherlands, Holland, and Belgium, so naturally there was many European food booths around. I highly recommend the Bratwurst. Homemade and one of the best I have ever had! There are also some of your favorite fair time treats: elephant ears, caramel apples, and deep fries oreos. There are places to get beer, cider and of course wine! The farm actually has their own winery.
The Rides
For rides it was a ticket system. The tickets were $1 each or sold in packages. We purchased the 25 tickets for $20 and got a good hour or so of rides in. My three year old was almost able to ride everything, however, the Zip line and rock climbing wall had a weight limit of 60 lbs. He chose to use his tickets on the pony ride, bounce house, jumper and the Fun Slide with his daddy.
The Fields
There were three different fields. All of them were mixed with different color very 4 to 5 rows. Tons of spots to catch the Perfect Instagram photo! It was so muddy when we went so I highly recommend wearing boots! There are plenty of photo op spots where there are benches and even tractors! They also have running steam tractor demonstrations. They were so cool!
I hope you and your family has a great visit to the Tulip Farms like we did! Let me know what your favorite thing was in the comments below!

I am from Michigan and we have a very similar festival on the far west side of the state, in Holland, MI. I only went there once due to the long distance (I am all the way on the east of MI). This looks like a ton of fun and I know that my 9 year old daughter Chloe would absolutely love going to an event like this!

Thats cool I didn’t know there were other festivals in the US!
We have been to The Netherlands and seen the tulip fields and gardens. Been Iowa and Michigan nothing compares to the Netherlands
What a fun festival! Tulips always remind me of my grandma, who passed away last year.
